We are seeking someone who is a strategic thinker with a track record of developing and delivering projects. Success of the organisation will depend on the successful candidate engaging with the many stakeholders in the catchment area.
We are looking for someone who can deliver our ambition to be a powerful voice for the river, its communities, river users and wildlife and above all else we are looking for someone who is passionate about all that GORT could achieve.

Salary: Circa £40,000 pro rata for 3 days /week/per annum. We are looking for a self-employed contractor for this post.
Contract period: 2 years We have initial funding and will look to secure additional funds to extend beyond the initial 2 years
Reporting to: Chair of Trustees.
Annual leave: Annual leave entitlement is 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays). Pro rata
Hours of work: A working day is 7.5 hours, generally from 9 am to 5.30 pm, with an unpaid hour-long lunch break. Flexible work hours are fully acceptable for personal circumstances, and we are happy to accommodate any requirements needed in order to make the role work for the right candidate.
Place of work and ethos: Working from home plus site visits/meetings is expected. Flexibility is encouraged to achieve a good work life balance; in exchange commitment, honesty and integrity are expected from the candidate.
Driving licence and vehicle: Due to the remote nature of the work, we cannot accept applications from individuals who do not have a driving licence and access to a car. The candidate is expected to insure their own vehicle for work-use
